Baltimore City Public Schools is working to identify a new Chief of the City School Police. The school system will engage with a variety of stakeholders, including members of the police force, students, staff, families, and community organizations, to outline the traits of a successful candidate. Mayor Brandon M. Scott is calling all student artists! Submit artwork inspired by Black History Month to enter the Black History Month Art Contest. The deadline to submit your artwork to City Hall is February 16.

Calling all high school students! Now is the chance for you to speak up about the issues that matter! Submit an essay for the WJZ Black History Oratory Competition. Essays are due by January 25. For more information, visit WJZ. The top three finalists will receive scholarship prize money, and the winners will be announced on TV during WJZ's Black History Oratory Competition Special.
