Annual Student Verification is due for all families on September 30. Please log into the Campus Portal and update or verify your student's information, even if nothing has changed.

Rescheduled: Back-to-School Night at Shake and Bake

The Back-To-School Skate Night at Shake and Bake has been rescheduled to Monday, September 30, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. School readiness resources and information will be available.

Rescheduled: Free Immunization Clinic for students

All Total Health Care immunization clinics scheduled for this week are canceled and will be rescheduled for October. This includes the clinics at Cherry Hill, John Ruhrah, and the District Office. We encourage families to schedule appointments with their child’s primary care provider for any needed vaccines.

Only MCV4 and Tdap immunizations for students over age 11 will be available at the District Office on Friday, September 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment or registration needed.

Join the Student Media Team

Do you know a student interested in photography, videography, podcasting, or TV hosting? Encourage them to join the City Schools' Student Media Team! Middle and high school students can apply by October 7 for one of five paid positions per semester.

Since 2015, the team has produced 400+ projects, involving 160+ students from 20 City schools. Get hands-on experience and professional training!

Partner in Your Student's Success: Student Learning Plans

City Schools wants to partner with you to create a roadmap for your students to achieve their goals for the year.  This roadmap is referred to as the Student Learning Plan. Within the first few weeks of school, a school staff member should contact you for a welcome conversation. Your responses will be placed in your student’s Student Learning Plan, found in the Infinite Campus - Campus Portal. If you do not hear from your school, please contact them for this very important step.  To learn more about Student Learning Plans, please visit  https://www.baltimorecityschools.org/page/student-learning-plans

Mi Espacio After School Program

The Maryland Chapter of CASA offers free academic tutoring and support for first- and second-generation immigrant students in grades 8-12. The after-school program runs Monday through Thursday, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., starting Sept. 23.

America's Voices Against Apartheid Exhibit

The Sister States of Maryland, Inc., in partnership with the City of Baltimore and the Embassy of South Africa, invites students and families to the exhibit Marylanders Cry Freedom: Civil Rights at Home and Abroad, marking the 40th anniversary of Maryland’s divestment from apartheid South Africa.

The self-guided tour is open to the public through Friday, Oct. 25, at Baltimore City Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.

Electronic Media and Film Major for a Day

Towson University’s Department of Electronic Media and Film invites high school students and families interested in film, audio, and media to an on-campus event on Friday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Explore degrees in Film, Audio, and Media Studies, meet faculty, and join interactive sessions.
