composite score

School Choice update

City Schools is changing how composite scores are calculated for middle and high school students participating in the School Choice process this fall.

If you're getting ready to choose a school for next year, here's a basic overview of how we calculate a student's composite score, which is used during the School Choice process.

What matters most are your grades, with particular emphasis on last year's grades (fourth grade for middle school choice and seventh grade for high school choice). For more information, talk with your school choice liaison at your school. School choice applications open December 1, 2023.

Get your immunizations

If your student requires immunizations, bring them to one of our FREE Immunization clinics this month at the City Schools district office (200 E. North Avenue). No insurance or appointment is necessary.

The clinics are open every Monday to Friday in the month of September, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, visit our website.
