MCAP Update

Progress: A Continued Trajectory of Growth on MCAP

Baltimore City Public Schools students continued a three-year run of improvement in their English Language Arts and math scores on the latest Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP). The proof is in the numbers, which include:

- Our growth in literacy more than tripled the results statewide.

- Our growth in math more than doubled the results statewide.

- Since the 2015-16 school year, our growth in literacy has nearly doubled that of Maryland overall.

The results indicate a rapid growth trajectory and reflect the hard work and unified focus of our students, staff, and families. We will keep pushing for more.
