National Bullying Prevention Month

This October, City Schools is focusing on bullying prevention with the theme "Community over Bullying." Schools are hosting assemblies and events to raise awareness throughout the month.

Join us on Wednesday, October 16 for Unity Day, and wear orange to show solidarity against bullying.

Special Education Resource Fair

City Schools invites you to the Special Education Fair on Saturday, October 19. This event will offer resources, information, and support for families of children with disabilities or special needs.

Credit Recovery Information

The high school credit recovery program starts on Wednesday, October 30. Students interested in registering should contact their school counselor to discuss options.

The deadline to register for Quarter 2 programs is Monday, November 4. The next opportunity for credit recovery will be in the third quarter. For more information, click HERE.

Save the Date: School Choice Fair

Save the Date! The City Schools Choice Fair will take place on Saturday, December 14 at the Baltimore Convention Center!

At City Schools, students can choose their preferred middle and high school to attend. The Choice Fair helps families explore all available options.

Stay tuned for updates about the School Choice process including open house information, the application process, and deadline dates.

Every day Baltimore City Public Schools graduates are doing great things. #IAmCitySchools is a series showcasing alumni who are applying lessons from their experiences as City Schools students in their careers. In this episode, we feature Kevin Ricks, CEO of ‪@LeeLeeKiddz‬. Kevin Ricks attended Arlington Elementary, Liberty Elementary, Winston Middle, Garrison Middle, Leith Walk Elementary/Middle, Mervo and Carver.

Baltimore City Schools Office of Family Engagement hosted students and families for a night of skating, Chick-fil-A, and free resources this past Monday, September 30. It was great to see our families come out and enjoy themselves while also providing them with the opportunity to support their learners at home. Here’s to a great 2024-2025 school year!

The MTM Foundation, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (Beta Alpha Lambda and Beta Alpha chapters), and KEYS Empowers, Inc. invite you to an HBCU college experience day!

Highlights include:

Join the Maryland General Assembly Page Program

City Schools Seniors now is your time to shine! Represent your school and county in the 2025 Maryland General Assembly (MGA) Page program. Each year, 105 students and 25 alternates are selected from across their states to be the voice of their schools and counties in Annapolis. This opportunity is excellent for 12th graders interested in law, leadership, and government!  To learn more, please view the full flyer and download the application.

Enter the Creative Justice Art Contest

Calling High School Student Artists! The Office of the State's Attorney for Baltimore City invites students in grades 9-12 to participate in the "Creative Justice" art contest.

Students may use any art medium, and judges will evaluate the entries based on their creativity, originality, relevance to the 'Creative Justice' theme, and overall quality. The contest deadline is Tuesday, November 12.

Winners’ artwork will be displayed on the 9th floor of the Office of the State's Attorney in the Truist Building at 120 E. Baltimore Street.
