Partner in Your Student's Success: Student Learning Plans

City Schools wants to partner with you to create a roadmap for your students to achieve their goals for the year.  This roadmap is referred to as the Student Learning Plan. Within the first few weeks of school, a school staff member should contact you for a welcome conversation. Your responses will be placed in your student’s Student Learning Plan, found in the Infinite Campus - Campus Portal. If you do not hear from your school, please contact them for this very important step.  To learn more about Student Learning Plans, please visit  https://www.baltimorecityschools.org/page/student-learning-plans

spreading good news

At the start of the school year, we sat down with a few kindergartners and sixth-graders from Sandtown-Winchester Achievement Academy, Walter P. Carter Elementary/Middle School, and Waverly Elementary/Middle School and asked what they think about school so far this year. We got a great range of responses that show some of the excitement, confidence, and energy that Baltimore City Schools students display every day. Special thanks to Principal Tracey Pratt, Principal Joseph Eldridge, and Principal Dr. Tanya Green!

From opening day until their last Friday home game of the regular season, The Orioles remained committed to the students at Harlem Park Elementary Middle School – not just hosting them during pregame warm-ups, but also putting boots on the ground at the school: facilitating a field day with Orioles staff, as well as a hitting clinic during P.E. class with catcher James McCann earlier in the spring. As Orioles Executive Vice President of Public Affairs Kerry Watson, said in the Opening Day press conference, the Orioles brought the idea of “city connect” to life this season through this partnership. We are so proud of this collaboration. Good luck in the postseason, let’s go O’s!
