On May 20-23, students in grades 6-12 will select Baltimore City’s next Student Commissioner and the Officers for the Associated Student Congress of Baltimore City (ASCBC). Learn about the Portrait of a Graduate

City Schools unveiled its new strategic plan, Portrait of a Graduate, in collaboration with the community. As part of the launch, City Schools unveiled the five core competencies that will define our scholars: confident, effective communicators, responsible and global citizens, adaptable and flexible, and creative and innovative thinkers. The plan aims to provide resources and support to help students succeed both during and after their time at City Schools. Learn more about the new strategic plan here.

ECT and MESC Office hours

The Office of Enrollment, Choice, and Transfer (ECT), and Multilingual Enrollment and Support Center (MESC) will be closed for in-person visits this week, as their team processes pre-kindergarten and kindergarten applications. The ECT Office and MESC will reopen and resume regular operations on Tuesday, May 28. Thank you for being part of the City Schools community; we look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education.

Graduation season is right around the corner, and it's time to celebrate the class of 2024! The graduation ceremony schedule is up with dates, locations, and times for all high school graduations.

High School Senior Graduation Rally

We are celebrating the High School Graduating Class of 2024 in style! Join us for a special 2024 Graduation Drive-Through Rally where seniors will receive official 2024 graduate car magnets and vehicle chalk art congratulating the Class of 2024.

Join us on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the intersection of E Cromwell St and W Peninsula Dr, west of the Baltimore Peninsula Development. We hope to see all of our high school graduating seniors there!

Mental Health partnership with Hazel Health

City Schools is excited to partner with Hazel Health to support every student’s mental well-being without any out-of-pocket costs for families. These solution-focused teletherapy services are available to students now, during the summer and next school year. Through the partnership, with guardian consent, every student can access high-quality care from home at no cost to their family.

Hazel Health’s therapists specialize in helping students with topics such as peer & family relationships, bullying, academic stress, grief/loss, separation anxiety, and more.

Mental Health Month Resources

May is Mental Health Month, and City Schools is committed to fostering an environment where the mental well-being of every student is prioritized every day. With staff including school psychologists, wholeness specialists, and wellness specialists who focus on providing support for our students and families, our schools are here to help.
