Inclement Weather Reminder

In case of inclement weather leading to school closures, our Virtual Learn Plan begins after three traditional snow days to ensure uninterrupted and continued learning. Visit the City Schools website for details. Stay connected by downloading the City School Mobile App on Apple or Android for timely alerts and updates on weather-related closures and more!

Credit Recovery Opportunity for High School Students

The next credit recovery session begins in the third quarter, with virtual and in-person options available after school and on Saturdays.

Registration for the afterschool program is now open and must be completed with your home school counselor.

Saturday program registration will occur in person at Dunbar High School on January 11 and January 25. Contact your home school counselor and visit the City Schools Extended Learning page for more information.

Join the School Board for a deep conversation about what matters to you! Students can speak freely about their school experience, learn what the Board is doing to support students, and share their thoughts on the Board's current policies. Board Update: The Search for the New CEO

The Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners has begun the search for a new CEO, who will take office in July 2026. The process includes three phases: profile development, candidate recruitment, and interviews/selection.

Dr. Sonja Santelises, the current CEO, will serve through June 2026 following a one-year contract extension. Appointed in 2017, Dr. Santelises is the district’s longest-serving CEO in 78 years.

Calling all high school students! Speak up about the issues that matter to you! Submit an essay for the WJZ Black History Oratory Competition. Essays are due by January 20, 2025.
