The Safety and Wholeness Committee was formed by the Board of School Commissioners to boost support and transparency on school safety, violence prevention, and student well-being.

The Safety and Wholeness Committee meeting planned for Thursday, February 15 will be rescheduled. Please stay tuned for updates on the next scheduled meeting.

Portrait of a Graduate update

The third meeting of the City Schools Portrait of a Graduate Design Team is scheduled for Thursday, February 15 in Room 301 at City Schools HQ, located at 200 E. North Avenue. The meeting time is 5:45 p.m.

If you participated in the previous two meetings, please plan to attend this meeting. If you have any questions, please email communications@bcps.k12.md.us.

Is your middle or high school student interested in photography, videography, podcasting, storytelling, graphic design, or TV hosting and producing? Please encourage them to join the City Schools' Student Media Team. Applications are now being accepted. Apply now!

It's almost time to Rock and Enroll in City Schools pre-K and kindergarten! Enrollment for pre-K and kindergarten will begin on April 2, and this year we have a new, quick, and easy online system for enrollment! Dream Big Contest

What will it take for us all to be free?

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s memory, the Lyric is asking students this question as part of their Dream Big contest. Students in grades 5-12 can participate with an essay, poem, video, or artwork. Finalists get to showcase their work on the Lyric's historic stage and win great prizes! The deadline for contest submissions is March 22.
