City Schools invites you to join us for The Great Math Scavenger Hunt from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19 at the Maryland Science Center! This hands-on learning experience is designed for families with students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade to discover and celebrate their student's math milestones for the school year. Don't miss this opportunity for interactive and educational fun!

Join Dr. Santelises for a town hall to learn about Baltimore City's Fine Arts Strategic Plan and what access to arts education looks like across the district. Hear testimonies from students, parents, and City Schools alumni. The event will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13 at Baltimore Unity Hall (1505 Eutaw Place, Baltimore, MD 21217). This year, 48 teachers were selected nationwide to participate in the National History Day Foundation's Fall 2023 Professional Development Program. Among those chosen was Christopher Drexel, a 7th and 8th-grade social studies teacher at Elmer A. Henderson: A Johns Hopkins Partnership School. Learn more about how Mr. Drexel will help students find their voice and passion when writing about history in this Progress Report.
Our students will bring some festive cheer to Mayor M. Brandon Scott's tree lighting ceremony, this Wednesday, December 6 at 6 p.m. at Baltimore City Hall. Come out for some holiday spirit and to support City Schools' students!
Join City Schools along with Enoch Pratt Libraries and Towson University from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 9 at the Pratt Central Library (400 Cathedral Street) for a conversation about how we can use community strengths to enhance schools and create positive social change.
This event is free and open to the public, and there will be free lunch, donuts, and childcare. RSVP is encouraged.

Nominate them for Junior Achievement's upcoming 18 Under 18 class! Winners will be featured in the June 2024 issue of Baltimore magazine and acknowledged at an event in June 2024.

If you know a student who is interested in community leadership and changing their community for the better, please encourage them to apply for the 2024 Bank of America Student Leaders Program.
In the Student Leaders Program, they will get first-hand experience serving their communities through a paid eight-week internship with nonprofits like Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Habitat for Humanity.
