Complete your Annual Student Verification

Annual Student Verification is now open, and families must log in to Campus Portal by September 30 to update and confirm student information - even if there are no changes.

Last week for summer transfers

Enrillment and transfer window information

The summer transfer window closes Friday, August 8, and this will be the only opportunity to request a transfer this school year. Additionally, please note that the last day to visit the Enrollment Office in person to initiate this process is Wednesday, August 6, 2025. However, applications and documents (no originals, please) can be placed in the North Avenue Enrollment Office mailbox through 4 p.m. on August 8, 2025.
Families can now expect enrollment updates within 15 to 20 business days from the date of submission due to scheduled districtwide system maintenance by the Office of Information Technology.
Families of students in pre-K through grade 8 may complete enrollment at their local school if seats are available. Charter schools manage their enrollment and should be contacted directly.

Read the facts about charter school funding

All students deserve fairly funded schools, no matter their background or neighborhood. Unfortunately, the Maryland Alliance of Public Charter Schools disagrees.

Here’s the truth: Charter schools in Baltimore City and across Maryland are not under threat of mass closure. Students and families who attend them are not at risk. Together, we can keep it that way - but only if all schools contribute fairly. Read the facts about charter school funding.

Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners' meeting room

New Board meeting procedures to prevent unauthorized speakers or images

To prevent future incidents, starting with the August 12 meeting, public comment will be limited to participation in person or virtually via pre-recorded video or written letter read aloud by Board staff. This critical step drastically reduces the opportunity for participants to post unapproved content.

More information will be available on the School Board meeting webpage.

Pre-K enrollment.

There's still time to enroll in pre-K

Families, contact your local neighborhood school, or register your child in person at the Enrollment Office, located at the District Office, 200 E. North Avenue. The enrollment window closes Friday, August 8, so don't miss it!
The Enrollment Office will be open to families on Mondays & Tuesdays (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.) and Wednesdays (10 a.m. - 6 p.m.).

Visit our pre-K registration website for the application form, required documents, and more information.
