spreading good news

Through Family University, City Schools family members created a workshop about supporting student mental health.

One thing they wanted to know was: What do our students wish their families understood about their mental health? So we asked them, and they had incredible insights to share.

Join Family University for workshops created and facilitated by families, for families. In addition to our mental health workshop, Family University offers workshops on communicating with your school, leadership, and advocacy. Look for Family University workshops coming to your neighborhood starting fall 2025.

Appreciating community generosity

The Stuff the Bus school supply drive in honor of Dr. Tim Tooten was a huge success, in partnership with the Baltimore Orioles and Hearst Media. Online donations are continuing to be accepted to help students get off to the best possible start for the school year.
