The Baltimore City Health Department is hosting three immunization clinics to help families prepare for the 2024-25 school year. Families are urged to call 410-396-4454 to schedule an appointment.

As we get back into the school routine, it's a good time to think about lunchbox safety. The U.S. Department of Agriculture reminds families to use essentials like insulated lunch bags, cold packs, and insulated containers for hot foods to prevent foodborne illnesses.

City Schools proudly announces the appointment of Jeffrey Shorter as the new Chief of City School Police effective August 26, 2024. The appointment follows a nationwide search that included input from students, district staff, local community and civic leaders, and School Police officers. Shorter served for 28 years with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD), spending over a decade in leadership roles.

On Saturday, August 3, City Schools joined Under Armour and Medstar Health for a jam-packed day of free sports physicals, sports bra fittings, back-to-school resources, food, and a special unveiling of the new sports uniforms for high school athletics!
