5 Things to Know at City Schools

Calendar reminder - Spring Break

Just a friendly reminder that schools will be closed from Monday, April 14 to Monday, April 21 for Spring Break. Schools will reopen on Tuesday, April 22.

The district office will be closed from Thursday, April 17 to Monday, April 21, and will reopen on Tuesday, April 22.

Registration is now open for our free summer learning programs! There are programs available for all grades to keep students learning and engaged during the summer! Space is limited, so register now! Visit Summer | Baltimore City Public Schools to register today.

Safety and Wholeness

Come to the Safety and Wholeness Committee listening session

The Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners' Safety and Wholeness Committee invites you to a community listening session from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Patterson High School (100 Kane St, Baltimore, MD 21224). Speak directly with the committee about your ideas on improving school safety and student well-being. Learn how the committee is actively addressing safety concerns and find ways you can get involved in this important work.

Light refreshments will be served.

Spring Break Camp

Looking for something safe and FUN for your students to do during spring break? Join the Mayor's Spring Break Camps at over 30 recreation centers throughout Baltimore. The camps are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will include games, crafts, age-appropriate activities and more.

The Enoch Pratt libraries are hosting a variety of events for students during Spring Break, including virtual reality games, comic hangouts, storytime, and more.

Spring Break Meals

While schools are closed for Spring Break, students can enjoy meals at Recreation and Parks Spring Break Camps (registration required).

Families can also visit www.charmcare.org for meal resources, emergency services, mental health support, and more.
