On May 20-23, students in grades 6-12 will select Baltimore City’s next Student Commissioner and the Officers for the Associated Student Congress of Baltimore City (ASCBC). The first day of school for the 2024-25 school year is August 26, 2024 and the last day of school is June 11, 2025.

Winter Break will be from December 23, 2024 to January 1, 2025. Spring Break will be from April 14 to April 21.

Patterson students

Patterson Park seventh-grade students have been learning about the Harlem Renaissance through EL Education in class. They took a trip to New York City to see the current Harlem Renaissance exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Pre-K students in Berol Dewdney's class at Commodore John Rodgers, have been learning about 3D shapes, learning about the solar system, building fine motor skills, and more.

Earth day with Governor

Students from the Green Machines Environmental Club at Booker T. Washington were with Governor Wes Moore at the Maryland Department of the Environment’s headquarters in Baltimore in celebration of Earth Day.

Vice Chair Shantell Roberts from the Baltimore City Public Schools Board of School Commissioners shares her experiences as a member of the Board and invites future members to considering applying to join the Board.

As part of the new partnership between the Baltimore Orioles and City Schools, students from Harlem Park Elementary/Middle School have had the unique opportunity to attend batting practice before Oriole games, interact with players and staff, and enjoy an evening of baseball.
